A Penn State University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, her background also includes biotechnology sales, where she was a regional and national top performer, selling biology products and instrumentation for over 10 years, specializing in high-level negotiations and contracts.

Sharon enjoys traveling with her husband, taking her rescue pup Socks on walks to the beach, volunteering at Helen Woodward Animal Center where she raised more than $15,000 in donations just last year alone (more than $50,000 since 2016 when she started her donation program), outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family. She also completed a bucket list item to go to Africa in Nov 2022. She traveled to Tanzania to support the protection of all animals from poachers in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire national park.
